Dusk

Posted by Picasa

Gurgaon was rather foggy last week with winter setting in. Dusk is also the name of a short story we had to study in English literature, 11th standard. Check it out, it's funny.

Oops! Two sports pictures in two days, but this is all I've got for now. This is the tennis court at the place where I live.

100m Dash

This is photo-finish action from a 100m race organised by and for the young and happening kids of Gurgaon :). The venue was Gurgaon's football ground. And the winning time? 16.x seconds! Here's a better picture of the ground.

Where's the party tonight!?

Posted by Picasa

It's at Dublin, the Irish pub styled bar at New Delhi's ITC Maurya Sheraton! This picture is of the discotheque within Dublin, the Ghungroo. Gurgaon is adjacent to Delhi and those who party do head out to the capital on Friday nights.

Driver's Seat

This is a view from the passenger seat of a cycle-rickshaw. With few buses, one-route-only auto-rickshaws, and taxis non-existent on the streets of Gurgaon, these rickshaws form an important part of its public transport system.

Weekday Dinner

Posted by Picasa

That's tandoori roti (Indian bread cooked in a tandoor) and chicken kalimirch (black pepper chicken); and a fresh lime soda to wash it all down with. It wasn't particularly good, this meal, but try roti & chicken the next time you dine at your local Indian place!

True or False?

Posted by Picasa

I asked the lady her permission before taking the picture. True or false? And why? Answer on Sunday!

Update: Thanks for all the answers. They were most entertaining! The answer is false but it was a trick question. Find out why here! ;-)
